Bright-Winged Bird

Bright-winged bird,

Watch her do a double pirouette in the sky –

The steps to a beautiful dance.

Bright-winged bird,

Listen to her sonorous voice –

As she sings a joyful song.

Bright-winged bird,

Feel her comforting weight on your shoulder –

As she sits awhile in silence.

Bright-winged bird,

She is here this moment –

And gone in the next.
